There are normally races every week in the big cities around Mexico. For a fuller list of races, check out Araiz Corre’s running blog. For more races in Oaxaca see the Oaxaca Runners Calendar. Emocion Deportiva and En Tus Marcas can also be useful for finding bigger races. Facebook groups such as Puebla Runners and Oaxaca Runners are normally best for finding locally organized events.
For running in Asia and around China check out the Asia race calendar on the Shanghai running website. Shanghai running also host their own races in Shanghai, as do RunnersHai. AsiaTrailMaster also have foreigner registration for some big Chinese trail races. Be warned though, the big races in China like the Beijing and Shanghai marathons can only allow you to register for a short period of time and tend to close registration early, so you need to vigilant and keep checking the race website to be sure to get your number.
Some other sites for running info in China, recommended by Suzhou ultra-runner Alex Holl, are;
1. http://bbs.running8.com/
2. http://www.erun360.com/
3. http://iranshao.com/
You can sign up on these sites to find information about smaller races.
For events round the world I’d recommend Ahuto for big races and local pages for anything else. Some I’ve foud usefull in the past are;
Run Thailand
The Scottish Running Guide
Blogs I’d like to recommend are:
Araiz Corre’s running blog (Spanish): Mexican running blog with some extra stuff about running and nutrition.
#RUNFROMMONKEYS: Mostly race reports for NY ultra trail runner Eric Aditya. Some crazy races and always a good read.
I’ll add more info here when I have it..
